The file ae2setup.exe has been included in the apps folder.

ESRI ArcExplorer 2.0 has been made available for viewing some of the information 
found on this publication. This software will read ESRI Shape (*.shp) files (see
Data Formats). ArcExplorer 2 works on Windows 98/2000/NT/2000 operating systems. Please
refer to http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/overview2.html for more
information. 

1.Uninstall any previous version of ArcExplorer prior to installing an updated 
  version. Use the Add/Remove Programs utility in your control panel. 
2.A complete user guide with tutorial in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF) has been included
  (arcexplorer.pdf)
3.Installation of ArcExplorer 2 on Windows NT requires administrator privileges. 
4.During the installation, files are put in the %TEMP% directory for utility purposes. 
  A %TEMP% variable must be set and the %TEMP% directory should be writable. 

  Note:  ArcExplorer 2 with Windows NT requires that Service Pack 3, 4, 5, 
         or 6a is installed.


A sample ArcExplorer map is found in the /data/shp folder.
